i need a haircut
this past weekend started off with a pretty big bang.
i went to shibuya for an all-night adventure with a few friends. we met up at the hachiko statue and made our way toward a cheap standing bar for a short while. that place was packed with some fairly unruly foreigners. everyone was having a good time, but the big samoans (at least i think they were) were being extra annoying simply because they were the biggest ones there. i wonder if they play for a professional sports team in japan.
anyways, after a couple beers, we decided to head to coins bar. upon exiting, the samoans were either saying goodbye or ‘fuck you’ (to me anyways) and laughing over their antics. how cute.
at coins bar, a foreigner was on the ones and twos serving up some good music. the drinks here were fairly inexpensive, 300 yen for a gin and tonic. not bad. we didn’t stay too long because the place closed at 2am. did a little bit of dancing and singing as the dj played some theme songs from the shows i used to watch when i was a child (doogie howser, full house, saved by the bell, aerowolf, and a few more).
finally, we hit up this placed called club en. basically, you pay cover, and drinks are free all night! just so happens, most of the foreigners from the standing bar we were at earlier, including the rather unruly ones, were here too. the music was mostly hip hop and techno, but the selection was good. i danced more, but for the most part, i was taking advantage of the free drinks all night deal. i pounded many gin tonics and didn’t let up until for a couple hours. i was pretty smashed.
5am rolled around and a few of us made our way back to the trains. upon reaching the station next to mine, i feasted on mcdonald’s breakfast sandwiches then spent all of sunday sleeping, until now that is. it’s now monday morning at 4:15am…slept most of the day, i’m up because i can’t sleep anymore so i’m doing a little netbook maintenance and reorganizing of files.
i smell like smoke and sweat still and need a haircut…
