choices, choices

i’ve been offered a 1-year extension.  i am happy to receive it but i have many things to consider: my own feelings, my gf, my family and friends back in ca, and most importantly, my own dreams.

i only have about a week left to make a decision, and with each decision i will need to do some heavy thinking into each possibility and weigh the pros and cons.  isn’t being an adult fun?

other than that, it’s hours until it’s my birthday, japan time anyways.  i’m drinking beer and jinro by my lonesome.  it’s not so bad.  i spent the weekend celebrating my birthday with my lady and friends.  we started it off with a karaoke bash where the food and liquor flowed like crazy and i danced most of the night.  everyone had fun, according to their responses anyways.  my gf handled most of the organizing and i think she’s bearing the brunt of anything financially-related.  ah, karaoke with good company, what more can i ask for?  the next day, i spent most of the day with my gf but before that i went to taiko practice.  i felt a little bad for one of the girls there because it seems she has no sense of rhythm.  she’s trying really hard though and i think she got the hang of things by the end of the practice.

after taiko practice my gf came over and we proceeded to go to iidabashi to hit up the travel cafe: philippines, a place i’ve been meaning to go to but never got around to it.  knowing this, my gf wanted to take me there.  we stopped by akiba to check out some shop that had a ton of toy dispensing machines.  whatever anime you want a small toy for, this shop seemed to have it.  of course, you gambled by paying money and hoping you got the toy or figure you wanted.  we tried to find the machine that had love hina figures i had already  but it seems it wasn’t there so i spent some money that had other love hina figures instead.  the otaku in akiba was really scaring my girl, haha.

we proceeded to iidabashi, but when we got to the cafe it was closed because of a private party.  epic fail.  however, we went to a thai festival in yoyogi park and sampled a bunch of food and beer and spent a bit of time with our friends aiya and tereda.

all in all, it was a good way to celebrate my birthday and i have a lot of pictures and memories.

is this love, is this love, is this love that i’m feeling?

it’s only 8pm, but onwards to my private, quiet celebration with beer and jinro (jinro is pretty disgusting btw, ah well)…
